Monday SEPTEMBER 21 - Monday September 28, 2020

With breathtaking views to the Pyrenees, spacious accommodation, superb food and warm hospitality, Manzac provided a very special painting holiday experience. Carole has been tutoring painting holdays here for 6 years.

This 6 day course is the perfect artistic escape for both beginners and more experienced artists looking for fresh inspiration in a beautiful setting. At Manzac you can relax or paint as much or as little as you like, whilst experiencing excellent food, wine and local French culture.

Daily Timetable

Our first day at Manzac is a “warm up day”, getting used to working with, perhaps, new materials, using sketchbooks, doing simple exercises or maybe painting outside ”en plein air” for the first time. It’s a relaxed day, getting to know one other and enabling you to settle in.

Subsequent days start with “wheels up” at 9.30 and a short drive to our chosen location. Carole will show you round, pointing out possible views or painting subjects, and then, throughout the day, visit each person in turn, giving tuition on an individual basis or a group demonstration.

At midday, Giles and Louise bring us a delicious picnic, with a glass of wine. We continue painting until approximately 4pm, when we return to Manzac to soak up the wonderful views, paint in the spacious studio, or head to the pool for a swim and siesta! Before dinner, over a glass of wine, we review the day’s achievements with supper being served around 7.30 - 8pm.

Non painting partners are welcome to accompany us to all the painting locations.
